Post below reminded me of a question I have wondered about......  I probably could Google the answer, but I am going to ask it here....

It has been in the news about Coke - and possible other companies - are switching from HFCS to sugar made from cane.  So, my question.... is there a difference in sugar made from cane, and sugar made from Sugar beets? Are they interchangeable? or does sugar from cane have certain uses, and sugar from sugar beets have different uses?  

What can you tell me?
