The two choices you offered are buy or not buy. A third option, if you feel this contiguous land would add additional value would be to sell off an 80 somewhere else. Is that a realistic possibility? If it's good ground and could make you more efficient farming it with adjoining acres and could lower COP via livestock and manure, trading farther away acres for this might be a better move for the operation.
