My wife has some dishes she intends to send across the country.  They are unique and the person she's sending them to wants them.  There are glasses too.  It's a 12 place setting so there's a lot of plates etc.

I thought it might be wise to package them in multiple boxes.  But beyond that I don't know what to do.  We bought a lot of bubble wrap and a few cardboard boxes. 

When I shipped the bed I made I built a box and wrapped the pieces with plastic, then used insulation foam from a can to secure everything.  It made the 2000 miles without a problem but that was over$600 and I don't want to do that with the dishes.
