I bid up the land that touches me 30% more than the land that didn’t touch me during an auction. Didn’t get the land in my section but did buy the piece across the road.
Haven’t regretted not getting the land once and I have livestock.
Could buy higher quality land for less to this day.
Decisions need to be based on the financial health of the farm not emotions.
