It’s harvest time trouble based on your post. Twice a week have him haul a load of corn 60 miles away or so on a highway. That’s what we do, don’t think we really need to but dad likes to be sure things get hot and cleaned out


Your dad is probably more right than wrong. Emissions systems on these field to bin trucks can be pretty problematic. Some get along okay, others not so much.

I know I'm not interested in dealing with it, even if newer seems to be better from what I've seen. I'll stick with a 6NZ for the foreseeable future. No emissions problems from short trips/idling yet!! Easy enough engine to work on too if necessary, not all covered up with garbage.
