The point I was trying to make although probably not very clearly, is that it’s surprising what these crops can withstand if they have a good root system with some good subsoil at the get go.
Good soil moisture holding capacity obviously a big consideration to along with that.
Neighbor digging deep root pits a couple years ago was another eye opening experience.
Incredible moisture 24 inches down after a seriousoy dry 18 month stretch. | |
