Ears dropping and black layer ??
Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Black layer is physically maturity
Meaning no more dry weight will be added
Have ears dropping down shucks turning dry at 3/4 milk line — 15% of the field
Will it add more dry weight?
FWIW the ears are huge —April 10 plant
I’m optimistic at least on part of the crop
