NW TX Panhandle
Thanks for replying earlier. Yes it was the same hybred planted on all of the fields near the field in question. Using pro boxes, so some intermingling between the fields. Only one of the fields had the short term reaction to being sprayed. On that field, an edge that had heavy Johnsongrass, rr + metalochlor had been used instead of LL + Metalochlor. This strip did not have the same reaction as the areas sprayed with LL + Metalochlor. It remained deep green in color. Because only one field ( actually only a part of it ) reacted I'm assuming the Liberty triggered the response in the field but the soil in the field was also part of it going yellow. Low OM, fertility I'm not sure. After we applied N it all greened back up. I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone knows a possible reason for this to occur. All the other fields, same hybred, same mix, etc, had no reaction.

There is an industry standard of 3% of non-rr or non-LL seed permitted in a bag. Some hybrids have very good conversions & only have a trace of non-traited seed. While other hybrids have a poorer conversion rate & can have up to 3% non-traited seed. Just depends on the hybrid. One of those things seed co dont talk about.
