Subject: RE: August weather

Eastern Shore of MD
Been a few spotty rains around but none in our immediate area. We have had no measurable rain in August and really nothing promising in forecast. I have been reading articles about how much yield loss in corn due to premature death. Soybeans starting to give up on hillsides and bad areas are growing each day. Wife is wondering why I am in bad mood but it seems I can never quite get used to watching a promising crop die. Irrigated crops are decent to good.
