Freeburg, IL | Things here on the southeast corner of the STL Metro East (Illinois) are starting to show stress pretty good. The crop was predominantly planted between 5/20 through the tail end of June. There was hardly an opportunity plant into perfect conditions as many did an hour plus north of us. The further east and southeast, it just gets ugly. SE of us corn was fired up a couple of nodes over 2 weeks ago. We have to wait until Wednesday for the next cool down where we are no longer in the 90s. There isn’t a good chance of rain in the 10 day.
