I've sprayed round up and manganese for 30 years and never had a problem. If I remember correctly this is high ph. You will not get the efficacy you want by doing anything but foliar. Your soil test will go up but the plant will not absorb it. I have to spray soybeans 3 times with mn. Trust me, I've tried it every possible way. Do whatever you want but I'm telling you, anything but on the tissue, won't work.

I would disagree. We have been chasing the MN issue for a while foliar and I am confident that we are getting a response every time we apply it. The problem is it doesn't last very long because MN is not mobile, and it's very expensive per lb of active ingredient. So we have shifted to attempting to fix the soil. Weedman got me a a semi load of MN sulfate and we put it the root zone various ways this year. I am confident enough in the results based on tissue levels that it raised the MN level enough to allow us 30 bushel more potential than we have been successful doing foliar. We did apply about 50 lbs so we have just over 30 dollars an acre in the attempt but it has no doubt made a difference and it will have longer lasting effects than that many dollars of foliar MN. We plan on doing it a few more years to keep balancing our soil profile.

Take care
