Culbertson, MT | Sometimes we can get a “so-so” second cutting on dryland alfalfa here. But I’ve lost track of how much rain we had thru July, and almost 2” so far in August. Making it hard on the farmers with pulse harvest and weeds coming in wheat, but it’s the real deal for my hay! It might be heavier yield than the first cut…! Last pic- after the first round I decided I best fiddle with shields and went to windrow as wide as the hind wheels
