near dyersville iowa | if you were already doing dry lot. and had the buildings/fence paid for with these high prices, it MIGHT work. here, the guys who are expanding their beef herds are grazing cover crops all winter. trying to feed as little hay as possible. Trying to do it the western way as much as possible. I would have done that too, except for i had room for maybe 40 cows. And the fence for my little 140 acres would have been a lot of money, more than I thought id ever make back. | |
