Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Seeing a lot more 14-16 around where we would expect 16-18 around in good corn. Kind of wondering why. We have been on the hot and dry side all year but really didn’t think there was a lot of stress early on when row numbers were being determined.
We singed some fields by putting in a gallon of 32% in 10 gallons of water for post application of chemical when corn was around 8-12” tall. Took about a week to look normal again. Kind of wonder if that affected it. Was applying roundup at 24 oz and Laudis.
Pollination has been excellent so far. |
