North Central Indiana | Kind of makes me chuckle when commercial growers get so bent out of shape over weeds. You literally have an easy button. I’d be more worried about the neighbor who is trying to spray 5’ tall giant ragweed with half rate of Enlist. Us organic guys actually have to work hard to keep them at bay. Wind, mice, and birds probably contribute to more noxious weeds than a couple organic farms do. It’s sad to see a field like that. Have you talked to him? Have you offered to help? I strive for spotless fields but the weather ultimately determines that. Organic is fun when the weather cooperates. | |
