If you can't get it to work. We got Quickbooks enterprise, yes it is expensive but works exactly the same as your old desktop and only needs internet to do updates and maintain license. $1,700 a year if you do manual payroll. But if you run multiple account files it won't be much different price wise. Right now we only do 2 so it is more money but I think if we ever add a LLC or any other one it becomes more economical or if you can do payroll manually their cost online eats up a big chunk. It hit us at the wrong time of year for me to figure out how to do everything online. I do 80% of my parents and my own and to train them on the online version after I figured it out was not going well. I was struggling enough to do the simple things I needed online. Good luck. They sure screwed all the small guys over. Not to mention I had internet issues a few times and could not write out checks with the online QuickBooks.
