The state has gotten very poor at controlling noxious weeds, or any overgrowth, on their road properties.
They made a big deal about charging folks to bale hay on the shoulders and impose considerable regulations of it a few years ago which didn’t come to be. But I see a lot of state highways no longer hayed since then. Now they are just a mess.
