| Hey y'all. I planted 20, 400' rows this year and weed control was a hand pulling nightmare. My cultivator had a habit of clearing between rows, but the weed would eak out of the tiny gap in thrown dirt in the row. Which meant I had to do by hand all the weeds forced into the row.
I'm planning on using a RR hybrid next year. I plan on improving my cultivator by throwing a bit more dirt and narrowing my rows to 30 instead of 36 (water and nutrient issues require smaller population).
I want Roundup in my back pocket in case the pressure gets too high. But I want other options, and am looking to improve my whole setup anyway.
I have a full-time job, and it's just me, so easy and fast is the name of the game. Any ideas? | |
