That makes a lot of sense. I have pointed out before that in feeding pigs the size of the corn grind affects feed effiency. People and pigs are similar enough in weight and digestive systems that pigs are used in some research I have heard. 170 calories a day over a lifetime would be huge.
I suppose alcohol is a refined food:(
