Unless you eat everything and chew on the bome I don't think "locker meat" be it pork,chicken or beef is cheaper or better than just buying the cuts you want when on sale. Many of todays families toss a lot of the less desirable cuts out

Since some will disagree with the above I will also say picking the right cuts from local butcher or Costco is same quality & taste as "home' grown

We don't get any of our pigs butchered anymore as (in CDN> $$) 250# pig is $250+ , $300 to process ...200# carcass...after head,ect. removed and cut/wrapped #155 meat..Most toss the hocks and lard out...Regular pork loins, hams,center cut chops usually $2.99-3.99 #
