| It may be done by now, but there was some construction in southern South Dakota on 83 that was/had been going on.
Kansas should be a breeze apart from all the wind blades and tower bases along with other oversize loads. No construction from the Kansas/Nebraska state line to Garden City, and I'm pretty sure there isn't any south of there to Oklahoma, unless it started recently.
When I used to travel 83 a lot on business the Peppermill in Valentine, Nebraska was a great place to eat at. Been years since I've been there though. Burger joint/drive-in in McCook, Nebraska that people drive to from Kansas for "the best cheeseburger they've ever had" at a place called Mac's Drive-In. I personally haven't eaten there but a couple picky eaters I know swear by it, I think their hours are limited. | |

US 83 from Texas to ND
