Neighbor lady has 10 horses on about 12 acres. I mowed it for her with the batwing Friday. I'm thinking I should mix some sulfur, potash and grass seed to make it a little more productive for her. What grass would be best? Horses remember. Right on the Wisconsin / Illinois line, clay soil. well drained and usually around 50 inches rain per year.... Dennis


Here, they sell a pasture mix, OG, Brome, Timothy, alfalfa and fescue (I think). Alfalfa usually doesn't last long; OG grows on its own here too.

Edit: as other poster mentioned, most likely just going to be dirt (weeds the horses don't like) with that many horses.
