C IL | My township has around 100 miles of roads. A road grader with a spinner wheel for ditches, a couple of dump trucks with plows, and maybe a 50 year old tractor with a wheel packer. Maybe they still have a wheel backhoe. And what they need is a 7 way drag like the nearby township who runs it all the time and keeps the potholes filled.
Road oil spraying and rock spreading is contracted out far as I can tell. Zero asphalt roads in this township.
Maybe that is a lot of equipment for 100 miles of roads, it very well could be centralized with several townships going together, dunno, but the county seat is 25 miles away by road. |
