When they leak here, especially after sitting for a while, it's usually because minerals or sediment have built up around the diaphragm or the small hole that goes through the body is clogged. If the plastic ring that goes around the diaphragm breaks, or the diaphragm splits, you have a big leak. Never noticed a hole in a float.
