| Kind of like my BIL, we make and feed round bales and he thinks there is too much waste, he uses small squares and feeds them on the ground in the pasture. He looks at my hay sitting in rows and just sees the storage loss, not saying there is none, but his loss is in the feeding and the increased fuel, more twine and wear and tear on the body, unloading and piling and then feeding the hay. Sometimes just depends on if you look only at one type or area of a scenario or at the whole picture. That being said I don't envy the one who has to split that type of growth up into paddocks if you are doing daily moves. | |
