Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

Youngohioian - 8/9/2025 09:49 I am tired of the negative comments. If you have negative comments, please keep them to yourself! I DO NOT LIVE ON A GRAVEL ROAD. I don't need all the " well at least you don't live on a dirt road" comments. I don't, I chose not to. This is the USA and I can live where I wish, which isn't on a gravel road. Those who do, can also move somewhere else to a hard road. The road has always been a hard road. I saved money for a very long time and finally got the exterior of our home finished last summer with new everything. The dust carries all the way to the field behind the barns, everything in every building is covered, animals, children's toys etc. Before someone says well just close the doors, let's consider how livestock needs ventilation.

Whoa....hold up your high horse there, friend. My comment was not to you. If you'll take just a second and look again instead of getting your knickers all in a knot at me, my reply was to GS2, who in my opinion was going a bit overboard in reaction to a temporary situation. That's his opinion, I shared mine. GS2 hasn't yet seemed to be bothered by my comment. Maybe he'll chime in later. His prerogative.
That said, if you're going to go thru life with the attitude you've displayed here over a situation that lasts a month, maybe 6 weeks by the time it's completed, life has some hard experiences lined up for you. I truly hope your life is never harder than needing to be concerned about dust on your grass and the lovely exterior of your home for part of the summer.  Inconveniences happen.
