Amherst WI | My wife is the rotational grazer. I really we’d have them in small paddocks here too but she’s really busy now so we aren’t.
I’m not super worried about some waste, need to feed to the soil too. I probably have less than $100/ac in the whole project minus land costs(instead your own figure there) and after they get a second graze off it before it gets too cold.
Also think of it this way, could I cut, rake, bale, wrap, transport and feed what they are wasting for what they are trampling down? With what cow hay is going for locally I doubt it.
