NS Canada | Anyone ever gear up a frame work within a gate entrance, say with some spare sprayer nozzles to spray cattle for flies as they are being moved? I rotate graze, so they are well used to moving as an entire group upon command. Just thinking if I could setup a frame that I can move around to different areas, with a 12v pump and a small tank, I could have the cattle walk thru a mist on their moves. Should help greatly knock down the fly population when they move to the next field?
Provided I could train the lead cows to walk thru inintially, I think the rest should follow even with the noise and mist? I considered making it motion sensed as they go back and forth for water, But I could see them mulling around and keeping it on.
Not sure if an RV pump will handle fly spray? or what I'd use there. Amazon seems to sell those style pumps listed as chemical resistant however.
