Eastern NE KS | Once I learned Micotil was toxic to humans, I never bought my first bottle. So far, I have other antibiotics that are successful treatment here. My antibiotic use on sick cattle seems quite low about 4-5 head per year. Footrot is the number one problem.
I've backed myself into corner on needle guard use. Vaccination is the heavy chore and I remove the needle guard, give the shot, replace the guard and place the syringe in my home made syringe cooler. The needle hit the bottom of the cooler, stabbing into Styrofoam.
I have adjusted my vaccination technique and largely eliminated skin tenting. This is thanks to your earlier suggestion. Thank you for that. Maybe you can line out my guard use too?
