Do you ever read a warning label and wonder why they have to tell people not to do something so stupid? Why do you think they need to put those warnings on products. People ate Tide Pods for Pete's sake...
If you think you can't/won't be sued for that type of scenario, you are fooling yourself. McDonalds lost a case because some fool didn't know the coffee would be hot when it was spilled on themselves. Give that some thought...
There's more to that McDonald's case:
They had been burnt before. MULTIPLE TIMES!
Yet they kept doing the same. Coffee cup between legs, squeeze cup to open lid, spill coffee on oneself when the cup either overflows or breaks, add ice or water, put lid back on, drink and repeat the next day.
Yes, the person who sued, got burnt while putting water and ice in the coffee, because they had been burnt multiple times before. Yet they kept doing it. |
