Nebraska aka the boondocks | A more likely concern would be the following analogy. A band of crop counting Nancie’s shows up on your property. One, more interested in texting and being importan than paying attention, falls after encountering an “unmarked hazard” on the property. After serious injury, Nancy sues the farmer and or his insurance. The farmer is unaware that there is a duty of care in their state and is held liable…. Another easy scenario, the ship of fools stops on the side of the road, and other places, the farmer gives them permission and even tells them where to park. An unwitting driver comes along and hits a vehicle that the farmer told them to park illegally, or you could have the same scenerio without the farmers permission. There is a reason we have no trespass signs and legal cases a mile long regarding guests, invitees and trespassers. I guarantee every farmer here has an unmarked hazard on their land, thinking it’s a good idea for people to frolick about, is total nonsense. |
