Could still do extra refuge strips now but more difficult to match up some varieties with a complimentary one. When companies went the RIB route many did away with other options like straight RR. Could use a VT2 and SX I suppose if you are more concerned about the rootworms being the issue. Or PCE and the RW traited Vorceed.

I've seen rootworm damage before but mainly on fields that had non-RW corn planted the year following corn and no insecticide. Our most common RW beetle here is the Northern (green ones) that like to skip a year before they hatch. Being able to randomly shuffle a rotation on a field with a 3rd crop would go a long ways in getting rid of a built up population here. (Or anywhere else for that matter.)
