S Illinois | There was some discussion regarding who the unknown purchases are when it comes to corn. This past week a large chunk of previously unknown sales were given a final destination. Columbia took 3 boats loads(149kmt). Mexico, Japan, Korea took the equivalent of a boatload. Portugal also took half a boat load.
There was also a big unknown sale total for new crop in today's report. Not China buying, but it shows corn has reached a low enough price that bargin hunters are stepping in for (edit: Future)demand they feel they can fill at today's prices. It's the sign we have reached the bottom of the market. Still don't see much upward pressure until we approach the end of the month, but the daily new lows will stop.
