
| I think you misunderstand. We didn't export significant amounts of LNG until after 2015, nor crude for that matter. That's when a law was changed and the ban on exporting crude was lifted. NH3 is made from Natural Gas. It's made in the U.S. LNG is just Natural Gas compressed and cooled to haul more of it. It's also an industrial coolant. The Trump administration wants to export significantly more of it. Also, this is affecting Electricity rates, as well, as there was a lot of Natural Gas "peakers" built when NG was essentially free. So there's a bit if a conundrum going on. |
