Map shows vt2, but nw Iowa also has rootworm resistance to all the major rw events. Nw Iowa also has more conventional corn (and soy) than most areas of the country, you can find conv corn for $140 ish, so I’m assuming to hold some market share the cost is lower to the farm. NW IA also has a lot of smaller acre farmers with more livestock- so guys manage those acres a lot better than someone farming 1000’s of acres.
