At these corn prices, if you a domestic or foreign buyer, or a user of corn, why aren’t you buying physical corn like mad right now?
Is it that we’re so close to the big crop being in the bin that no one is running out of corn? Big crop coming….are they waiting for another dime or 25 cents down? How low will harvest lows get? Or will price just continue to drop until the January reports?
local E-plant shut down corn for the week on Thursday because they were full last week.. This week they sent the same email on Tuesday at noon. Guessing about Wednesday next week they will send out a similar email.
We're fortunately all emptied out and ready for this fall, but traffic has been steady at the local shuttle loader and I'm not sure they can load trains until they can have some track repaired due to water damage. Sounds like they have already re-routed one train last week and another 3" last night has the ditch that they need to go back down to make repairs is back out of its banks until next wee. (if we don't get any more rain.) Shuttle loader widened out Basis big to -1.08 on soys from a couple weeks ago and guessing that will get worse yet unless some big sales get made.
