Our accountant intends to continue to run the last version they upgraded to from a couple years ago, as long as they can maintain it on their servers, but who knows how long that will be...
Apparently, MASA will no longer even answer the phone for support on existing versions, at all. No support at all.
We do not use any of the add-on modules, just the basic accounting stuff. We had the Crop audit module and one time, and quickly realized we did not need it for management information, and now most our management info comes from Deere Op Center, which we like. I still miss the Consolidated Financial Statements module that went away many years ago.
I think the new owners are a few very large livestock operations. No problem with that at all, I think it is great that a group of users bought it out. But the business model offering no middle-of-the-road options at all, and the cavalier attitude of pay up big time or leave it is disturbing, after having used this software very successfully for over 40 years.
Any ideas, or alternatives (not Quickbooks!) please let me know.
