Is there any independent data out there to back this up?

There is a lot of data out there showing that full tillage in a lack of crop rotation environment using lots of bulk fertilizer ahead of the planter reduces the soil's ability to function. It makes us dependent upon all the inputs because we ultimately are building a system for weeds, disease and pests to thrive.

You then have your high value crop growers for your $20k to $40,000 per acre product. If they can build a soil and nutrient management program that helps them be very resistant to pest and disease.

And the fact that the member who has agronomy in his title in this conversation has not answered or acknowledged any of my questions.

Agronomist means student of the soil, he should be focused on being able to answer the questions. I asked helping farmers actually solve tar spot issue so they don't always have to come back to using two or three fungicide passes a year. He should be helping farmers build soil that's highly functioning

I would say since he cannot answer any of my questions he should remove agronomist from his title and just put retail salesman. Anyone who claims to be an agronomist but uses fungicides and insecticides and herbicides as their first go-to is not an agronomist.

If you tell your agronomist that you have soybean aphids and their first response is here's an insecticide for you. They have zero understanding of your soil and your crops. They are a salesperson. What they should be doing is going out and getting a sap test from your soybeans and dig up a soil test around the roots. And then taking a shovel and doing just some basic observations of your soil. Same thing goes for weeds and diseases.
