Exactly what I was thinking. The largest landowners around here started in the 70s surviving the 80s. A lot had debt forgiveness is the story. A lot of these boomers are so proud of how they survived and they did it themselves but a lot of them were setup by the previous generations. It is no different today. Boomers always think it’s “young guns” that are in deep but I’ve seen 75-80 year olds in the last 3 years have to sell out because they were losing money hand over fist and their sons run off with what’s left. Seems like Greaser Bob would revel in a young guy losing his shirt.

I personally don't want to see anyone go through that (I'm an old guy). Everyone of us has had to take some financial chances (after all we only live so long). But I've seen what tough times can do. A very good friend had to cut his dad down from a rope in their garage. A period of time I will never forget and I don't wish it anyone. I hope all this bickering and political animosity ends soon. But I doubt it. Seems most guys are very very stuck one way or the other. I have probably voted 70%-30% republican in my life. I did not vote for trump this past election (I did the first time). I could not get past January 6th and I blame him. As I listen and read all the political drama (and I read and listen a lot), I hate what I feel trump has done to us all. I do not like how we're heading. Hope I'm wrong.
