WC IL | Go to the grocery store and price it out one package at a time and compare. $5.70 a pound is hamburger price locally.
All you are doing is spreading higher cost out over time if you buy on an as needed basis from the grocery store. Not to mention that you are probably getting a superior product from your locker beef than you can get at the grocery store, at least if your locker beef supplier knows what he is doing.
Or buy your own steers and feed them out.
