Michigan | Exactly what I was thinking. The largest landowners around here started in the 70s surviving the 80s. A lot had debt forgiveness is the story. A lot of these boomers are so proud of how they survived and they did it themselves but a lot of them were setup by the previous generations. It is no different today. Boomers always think it’s “young guns” that are in deep but I’ve seen 75-80 year olds in the last 3 years have to sell out because they were losing money hand over fist and their sons run off with what’s left. Seems like Greaser Bob would revel in a young guy losing his shirt. | |
