These strains of biocontrol nematodes have the genes for persistence retained from the wild strains, unlike all the other commercial strains.

A single application inoculates the soil and the inoculated ones persist. Their offspring retain the genes to persist and they persist/ reproduce

We cannot say persisting for ever, but some of our original research fields showed persistence for >30 years of agricultural crop production even across crop rotation
