A wise man once related to me that "things long perceived seldom ever come to pass" Commercial grain operators are running around with their hair on fire wondering how the crop will get handled ....on & on ! Same thing happened last year. I'm still reflecting on the June plantings figure ....3.6 million of intentions left to be planted ....I'm guessing some of that did, but I'm more inclined to believe we seen several move towards beans ....or better yet ....took prevent!! No incentive to plant corn that late or by then price was getting pretty tough. It seems we will have a good crop. Could it be 183 or higher? Sure. We've had a super draw down on old stocks, so we have more room to deal with this thing than we did last year. I think dollar devaluation from previous years will have more determination going forward on demand than we expect. China could really turn this thing very quickly. If I'm an end user I know I'd much rather be ahead of them than behind them. A small suggestion from Trump in regards to a Chinese deal will send this thing surrying.
Could be. That's all over my head. The only thing I will add is that you are kidding yourself if you think the Chinese don't have managers looking at exactly what I laid out. I learned from a guy that used to manage their money. I am sure they found another good one.
