Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Thanks for the reply. Not that it matters much but a previous post wanted to use their Auxiliary Input Module with an implement switch which several of us agreed was not going to work the way he wished. We informed him that he needed to use an Application Rate Module and implement switch to make a coverage map that started/stopped based on implement height.
He apparently had an Auxiliary Input Module from another situation that did involve an application control type module. He was hoping that he could somehow connect an implement switch to his Auxiliary Input Module for making a coverage map. We informed him that having the Auxiliary Input Module along and plugged in wouldn't cause any problems but wouldn't be of any benefit.
Although I've never tried this, I guess it makes sense that an Ag Leader coverage map for tillage might disregard and not repaint areas that have already been covered. This doesn't really apply to me with my Ag Leaders but with my Trimble 750 with coverage based on auto steer engagement, my coverage map shows a different shade of yellow when it encounters an area that has already been painted. This is with tillage only and no application modules are involved.
With the Trimble I sometimes force the coverage map ON with the screen icon even though auto steer is not engaged. This is handy at times for doing the Headland passes after the field is completed. I manually steer for the outside Headland pass but force the coverage map ON. Then when I make the second Headland pass, I can use the first Headland pass of the coverage map as a guide for manually steering the second pass. This is generally not all that useful but it does work.
