Subject: Young farmer and young farmer’s daughter question

Southern Missouri
With the corn market where it is and the cattle market where it is , is there not room for young folks to get into feeding a few cows ? I realize it takes some money to start at it but most folks in the farming business with a daughter or son wanting to start a career but not really room on the acreage side , isn’t there a little room for profit and a way to make your corn walk away from the farm on four legs ? I know there are other ways but our commodity markets sure seem to spend a lot of days calling for this to happen, consumer money being spent for food sure doesn’t seem to be declining, just wondering how many could see this happening with the younger side of Ag and that part sure as heck leaves me out, the men I know raising a lot of corn and a lot of cows tell me their biggest worry is this market in both commodities coming to an end , they sure seem happy, I’ve also noticed at all the recent land auctions those are the guys there with their hand up
