Agree with everything you’re saying but you cannot maintain brix/healthy plants in a year like this. Plants don’t thrive in anaerobic environments. Just the card we were dealt for the year.


It has been a difficult disease year with the record July rainfall. I do think those that sprayed fungicide will overall be very happy with yield.


I can agree that some years are tough, and that’s when a tool like a fungicide can play a role.
But I have to say, I’m a little disappointed that your an agronomist and you didn’t answer any of the questions I asked earlier.

If we’re always using yield to justify every fungicide pass, are we ever going to address the root of the issue?

When we see a big yield response to a fungicide… does that prove how well the fungicide worked?
Or does it expose how vulnerable the plant was to begin with?

Because if we’re measuring success by how much yield we save, we might be missing the fact that our system is sick, and we’re just getting better at masking the symptoms."
