Subject: FarmerWalt - Curious about configuration

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I'm guessing you are using a tillage or guidance configuration.

I'm glad that this works for your purposes and I'm not really in those situations but I'm confused as to how the switch box is being used. Maybe it does but that's the part I don't understand. Do you ever use the switches for anything in these situations? Obviously the switches are used at other times, but I mean when you are just doing the coverage situations.

I have several configurations involving product control in some respect. They all require an input method, either an SC110 CAN switch box or an Auxiliary Input Module and separate switch box AND an application module of some type.

I am not aware of any configuration that makes use of either an SC110 or Auxiliary Input Module but doesn't also require an application module.

For example, my planter tractor has an InCommand 1200 in it and an SC110 CAN switch box. It works with an Ag Leader Clutch Control module and Liquid Product Control module (among others) when planting. If I use the tractor for tillage, I can create a tillage configuration if I choose to, but the SC110 switch box is not being used, it is just along for the ride. For the tillage situation, the switches on the switch box have no effect on anything.

I'm surprised that auto swath is useful but apparently it controls the coverage map under certain situations which is somewhat helpful.

Having "unused" modules connected but not being used is generally not a problem. They can just be "along for the ride" and can remain connected and not used.
