15 years ago a seed company/coop I sold seed for had replicated nitrogen trials. They stopped doing them as the most return turned out to be 0 units of nitrogen. The manure history was supplying all the nitrogen. I would be concerned about trials where green lightning needs another source to make it look good. I am a firm believer a good amount of our n rates are “insurance”
