Penn Yan, NY
We grow them for seed. Seem to do fine in a climate zone 5 and we are trying to work them into colder zones. Snow cover is essential and for us that means a nurse crop to catch snow rather than letting it blow off

Harvest isn’t always easy but with the flex down and an air real we seem to do alright.

We plant 50lb peas with 100lbs triticale, no herbicide, plant by September 15th. Usually run around 50-70bpa triticale with 10-20bpa peas
