Midwest | if this is a fairly new bin your floor should be pretty level and you can set it down pretty close to leave less corn, but in an older bin i have to leave it up higher or it can get cuaght on high spots in the floor. So if working by myself, I sometimes will run the sweep for a little distance, then shut off all the augers and go inside the bin with scoop and broom and clean up behind the sweep so it is still fairly close to shovel the corn into pile ahead of sweep. when the bin is empty, my sweep will run around the bin pretty fast and that can be dangerous. I don't move so fast anymore at my age. | |
